In-House LABORATORY

In-clinic diagnostics are a vital part of the care offered at Rivertown Animal Hospital. Our clinic has the most innovative blood chemistry, complete blood count and urine analyzers available in veterinary medicine. Blood chemistry tests can tell our doctors what your pet cannot. Liver and kidney function can be evaluated for underlying diseases. Complete blood counts can inform our doctors of possible anemia and cancer and are an excellent indicator of your pet's overall health. Urine testing can evaluate for inflammation or infection in the bladder and can be a tool for early detection of kidney disease. Your pet’s samples can be completed in ten to twenty minutes, giving our veterinarians the ability to make many diagnoses quickly.

For additional or more extensive testing we cannot perform in hospital, we will send your pet's samples to the Idexx laboratory where they will perform the tests for us in a timely manner.
