Soraya

Soraya is one of our most experienced technicians and has been with Rivertown Animal Hospital since it’s opening in 2006. Soraya has earned multiple degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration. Soraya is now working full-time as an elementary school teacher, and we are thrilled she still continues her relationship with us as a part-time employee. Our patients surely love this arrangement too, as she has been known to throw a little extra love and treats their way. Her specialty is making our patients comfortable and relaxed and helping clients understand how to care for their pet through an illness and/or recovery from surgery. Soraya resides in Plaquemine with her husband Jonathan and their very loved dogs. Outside of the clinic, Soraya enjoys baking and spending time at home with her husband and twin nephews.

Stephanie

As a senior technician, Stephanie works closely with the doctors during surgical procedures and excels at patient nursing care. She has been a part of Rivertown since August of 2006. Stephanie loves to watch patients grow from puppy and kitten hood to adults and senior patients. She works diligently to expand her knowledge working alongside both Drs. Leblanc and Schroeder. She is  part of our Leadership team and is our inventory manager. She appreciates the connections she has made with our clients and their pets, along with former and current employees. Stephanie has also worked in the large animal field at LSU with horses, cows, sheep, and goats. She is a graduate of Brusly High School where she met her now husband Zach. They reside in Addis with their two children Amelia James and Levi Chase, and their dog Fletcher.

Caroline

Caroline was born and raised in White Castle, Louisiana. She joined our Rivertown family in August of 2018. You will normally see her working in in-room appointments, drop offs, and at the reception desk. Caroline enjoys working alongside our sick and healthy patients, ensuring that everyone has a comfortable stay. She loves the family atmosphere and the learning opportunities that Rivertown has to offer. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in the spring of 2021 with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Life. She now works full time with elementary children and still enjoys helping us part-time a few days a week. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies, reading, and being on the lake. Caroline has two dogs and a cat she rescued as a kitten from Rivertown.

Alyssa

Alyssa began working at Rivertown back in 2019 as part of our kennel team and quickly moved up to her current positions as technician and receptionist. Alyssa received a softball scholarship to Baton Rouge Community College and graduated in cosmetology. From grooming to assisting with appointments, Alyssa will make sure every dog that visits Rivertown leaves looking and feeling great. Alyssa has a dog named Trout she adopted from the shelter. In her free time she enjoys riding in the boat, hanging out with friends, and dancing with family.

MAddie

Maddie joined the Rivertown team in the fall of 2021 and quickly moved up to technician through her dedication and willingness to learn. You will most likely see Maddie during an in-room appointment or when you’re picking up your pet. Maddie is currently pursuing a degree at Franciscan University but enjoys the opportunity to work with animals and aid in their recovery no matter their condition. Maddie has four dogs named Coco, Scout, Tucker, and Otis, a cat named Nala, along with some pet birds. She is a great addition to our caring team. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and boat rides.

SYDNEY

Sydney started working at Rivertown in April of 2020 as a kennel technician and now works as a technician assistant who helps with getting patient samples and preparing the surgery suite for procedures. You may also see her working with your pets for their annual or semi-annual vaccination appointments. Sydney is currently pursuing a degree at Louisiana State University for film and television. In her free time, she enjoys reading and travelling. She is a huge marvel fan too. Sydney adopted her dog Ruben from Rivertown and he enjoys playing with their family pets including dogs and cats.

Renee

Renee graduated in December 2021 with a degree in English Literary Studies from Nicholls State University and is now Rivertown’s Social Media Editor. She creates content for all our social platforms and keeps our website up to date. She has four fur babies; two dogs and two cats. Renee married her high school sweetheart in the Spring of 2021 and enjoys knitting and reading in her spare time.
